Points of Interest :: School/Church House

All Stearns Coal and Lumber Company Camps had schools.  Many of the camp school were also used as churches and meeting halls.  The Barthell School House was used both as a school and a church.  Meetings and socials were also conducted in the Barthell School House.  The Barthell School House was reconstructed on its original site and has been decorated with both period school and church furniture to depict its dual purpose.
